Praxair China has signed a long-term contract with Beijing Jin Jing Solar Materials Company to supply on-site industrial gases for its key growth project, the low-emissivity oxy-fuel float glass production lines.
Beijing Jin Jing is a subsidiary of Jin Jing Group, a leader in the Chinese and Asian glass sectors with successful efforts in the development and production of high-tech glass products.
Praxair China will build one air separation unit, two vacuum-pressure-swing-adsorption plants and one steam-methane-reforming-plant to meet the oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen demands of Beijing Jin Jing's project. These gases will help the project achieve greater energy savings in natural gas as well as a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. The Praxair units are expected to start up in the first quarter of 2012.
Praxair (China) Investment Company is headquartered in Shanghai, has 20 wholly owned companies, nine joint ventures and more than 1,300 employees in the country.
