The Taiwan Machine Tool Show will start on November 3, 2010, in Taichung, Taiwan. So far, more then 300 domestic and international exhibitors, and more than 1300 booths, are booked.
According to the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association, in 2009 the production value of Taiwan machine tools was globally ranked sixth, and the export value was ranked fourth in the world.
Although the scale of parts' manufacturers in Taiwan are relatively small and less known compared to the major international brands, the cost of manufacturing machine tools is decreasing. Machine manufacturers are no longer producing the parts on their own, and they are starting to get the supplies from the local parts makers in Taiwan.
