Shanghai ChemPartner, a China-based contract research organization and a wholly-owned subsidiary of ShangPharma, has announced that its animal facility has received full accreditation from the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International.
AAALAC International is a private, non-profit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through voluntary accreditation and assessment programs. As a result of an extensive on-site evaluation, AAALAC determined that Shanghai ChemPartner's animal facility is committed to the highest level of animal care and research practices. In particular AAALAC commented on Shanghai ChemPartner's administrative commitment to the program, as evidenced by the financial support for the three well maintained, state-of-the-art animal facilities and equipment, as well as capable and qualified animal resources staff; and detailed standard operating procedures and guidelines, and records.
