According to Xinhuanet.com, China's State Intellectual Property Office has approved the establishment of 61 intellectual property rights protection aid centers and launched a special hotline (12330) dedicated to IPR protection aid.
This initiative is an effort to encourage individuals, legal persons, and organizations to actively respond to intellectual property disputes and enhance their rights protection capability.
This IPR protection aid service is available to Chinese citizens and legal persons who can't afford the costs involved in the processing of intellectual property disputes and lawsuits due to financial difficulties or who encounter intellectual property issues that they are unable to solve.
IPR protection aid centers are focused on providing IPR consultancy, IPR analysis and examples, IPR pre-warnings, and fund support to eligible parties. These parties should submit an application for aid in their own domicile or area of permanent residence, or in the domicile or habitual residence of the offending party.
