The China Center for Transnational Dispute Settlement has launched its new English website at local-local.org to address the rapidly growing number of China-related cross-border commercial disputes.
According to Juliet Lai, the research coordinator for CCTDS, China is now the world's third largest economy and is generating legal rules at an incredible pace; citing as an example that Thomson Reuters has just launched 'Westlaw China' to meet the growing demand for Chinese legal information.
In the meantime, as PRC companies expand internationally, they are increasingly exposed to legal risks overseas and are thus in need of local representation.
The CCTDS website is designed to inform, to connect, and to serve international businesses and professional communities that are stake holders in China-related transnational disputes.
