China's anti-virus software company Rising has signed an agreement with B2C Internet service provider Taobao.com and the two parties will carry out a range of cooperation to create a safe and reliable online transaction platform for Chinese users.
The parties have begun their first phase of cooperation which has enabled users of Taobao.com to download and use Rising's 2008 beta anti-virus software for free for three months. The parties have also completed their technology connection for the first phase and Taobao's Wangwang accounts have been listed as a key target to receive key protection from Rising's "Account Number Safe".
While protecting Taobao's clients, Rising and Taobao have launched a new virus and online threat quick response channel that allows the parties to share information with each other whenever a new virus, malware or phishing incident occurs.
The cooperation will help Taobao.com realize safer transaction for its users and Rising to enlarge its market share.
