According to the Department of Information Technology at the Ministry of Commerce, China price index for agricultural food products was 115.11 last week, equal to that of the previous week.
Grain price remained stable. The price of small package of flour and rice maintained the same as the previous week. Edible oil price increased slightly. The price of peanut oil and blend oil rose by 0.3% over the previous week while that of soybean oil and rapeseed oil went up by 0.5% and 0.2 respectively.
Due to price rise of pigs, as well as rising cost of pig breeding and transporting, wholesale prices of pork rose by 1.9% over last week. Wholesale price of beef and mutton went up by 0.7% and 0.3% respectively while egg price continued to drop by 1.2% than the previous week.
Last week, most regions enjoyed a stable and adequate vegetable supply. The average retail price of 20 main vegetables declined by 3.6% over the previous week.
